The Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc (NNPII) manufacturing facility is located in Clayton, North Carolina. NNPII employs more than 973 employees on 345-acres in Johnston County. These employees oversee the full production of diabetes products from formulation, aseptic filling, packaging, assembly and distribution. The company recently announced a $2 billion dollar expansion of the site to produce active pharmaceutical ingredient for diabetes and obesity care products, to begin production in 2020 and which will employ nearly 700 personnel. Site Clayton is the only production site for diabetes products in North America, though we have US headquarters in Plainsboro, NJ and other operations in Seattle and New Hampshire. Other worldwide sites include: Denmark, Chartres (France), Montes Claros (Brazil) and Tianjin (China).
